1. Bookings & Deposits

All bookings require a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total hire fee to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your event. Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received and a confirmation email has been sent by Melbourne Soft Play.

2. Payment

We accept bank transfer (EFT) to the account details provided on your invoice. Payment must reference your invoice number. Full payment must be received before equipment is delivered. We do not accept cash on delivery.

3. Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event date will receive a refund of all amounts paid minus the deposit. Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will forfeit the deposit and any additional payments made. Cancellations within 48 hours of the event will be charged the full hire fee. In the event Melbourne Soft Play must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be provided.

4. Weather Policy

For outdoor events, equipment will not be set up in winds exceeding 40km/h, rain, or severe weather conditions. If weather prevents setup on the day, a credit or rescheduled date will be offered. No refunds are provided for weather-related cancellations on the day.

5. Delivery, Setup & Pack-Down

Good Times Event Hire Co will deliver and set up all equipment at the agreed location and time. A clear, accessible space must be provided by the client. The client is responsible for ensuring adequate space, surface conditions, and access. Additional charges may apply for difficult access, stairs, or travel outside our standard delivery zone.

6. Equipment Care & Damage

The client is responsible for the equipment from the time of delivery until collection. Any damage, loss, or theft of equipment during the hire period will be charged to the client at replacement cost. Equipment must not be used on surfaces that could cause damage (gravel, sharp edges). Food, drinks, face paint, and silly string are strictly prohibited near soft play equipment.

7. Age & Weight Limits

Soft play equipment is designed for children aged 6 months to 8 years. Jumping castles have a maximum weight limit of 100kg per child and are suitable for children aged 3โ€“12 years unless otherwise specified. Adults are not permitted on soft play equipment. These limits exist for safety reasons and must be strictly enforced by the client.

8. Supervision

An adult supervisor (18+) must be present at all times when children are using the equipment. Melbourne Soft Play staff are responsible for delivery and setup only. The client assumes full responsibility for the supervision and safety of all users during the hire period.

9. Liability

Good Times Event Hire Co carries public liability insurance. However, we accept no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage arising from improper use, failure to supervise, or breach of these terms. By proceeding with a booking, the client acknowledges and accepts these terms in full.

10. Changes to Terms

Good Times Event Hire Co reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The terms in effect at the time of booking confirmation will apply to that booking.
